The word “Elderly” can be used to describe a person or any living animal that is of an old age.
Often used to describe people of grandparent and great-grandparent age. So a person over the age of mid 60s or 70s and above would be classified as elderly.
Examples:
“My grandmother is elderly, so she has troubles completing certain tasks.”
“My elderly grandmother is living with us so we can help look after her.”
“We have put my elderly grandfather in a nursing home because he cannot look after himself anymore.”
“The dog is elderly, this year he will turn 17 years old.”
Hope this helps! :)
