I believe this is how you say hello (Konichiwa) in Japanese.
why is は (ha) used and not わ (wa) ? Also why is there an extra n (ん) because there is already に (ni). Please answer!

In Japanese, when "は" used like "be" "is" "are", we pronounce は wa.
So こんにちは is shortened word, This は isn't HA.

Actually, ha is an auxiliary and usually be followed with some words。
今日は、良い天気です
Kyoyu ha yoi tenki desu
It’s nice wether today
And historically the followings have been saved, and only the remains survive meaning saying hello.
