You can say the "cruelty of humanity" but "sinisterness" is extremely uncommon (I had to check to make sure it actually existed!)
I would avoid using "humanity" when talking about negative traits because "humanity" can also be used as a word that effectively means the opposite of "cruelty".
"The cruelty of man" or "man's cruelty" sound best to my ears

@Gejemica Thank you! So humanity is usually used in a positive way? If you don't mind, could you list some commonly used negative words to describe a person? Like "the dark side of man" or something similar.
