you should use “the” when referring to an object or place or even referring to someone’s name you don’t know. for example “the girl” or “the boy”. There’s many different ways you can use “the” and “a”

@Whologist oh thank you so much for the link! Now I know the differences between a and the.
But I have another question sorry..

Do you put a & the before countable noun?
If so, do you know why my teacher told me to put the in front of “fee schedule” and “international tuition” because I think those are uncountable...

Or countable or not just doesn’t matter?

I think you would put "the" before "fee schedule" because it's a specific schedule. You're talking about a specific schedule instead of a random one. It's the same with international tuition. :) I'm sorry if that doesn't make sense.
