Pergunta sobre REINO UNIDO
Should the word "cockney" be capitalised? I've seen it both ways (Cockney, cockney). Is there a rule for when it should be capitalized?

I think I would generally regard it as a normal adjective, and so not capitalise it.

@OldGeezer Now I’m doubting myself, but I would always put those in lower case as well!

@NathanH On second thoughts, I just checked the Oxford Learner's Dictionary (online) and the Concise Oxford English Dictionary. They consistently list "cockney" as lowercase, and "Geordie" and "Scouse" as capitalised.

For what it’s worth, the Guardian style guide lists all three in lower case. The Times put their style guide behind a paywall, and the Telegraph has no entries between Coca-Cola and Coco Pops.
That said, Wikipedia uses lower case for cockney but upper case for the other two.

@NathanH Thanks again. The prevailing opinion seems to be to capitalise Geordie and Scouse but not cockney. Maybe it has to do with the etymology. I'll keep looking. Thanks for your help.
