So for number one, you giving the fact that somebody “can” or is able to. Number 1-1 your saying someone could handle it.
Number 2 is saying that you can call it a swimsuit, but 2-2 is saying that you could. Sorry if that doesn’t make sense :)

I thought about #2 for a long time and I can't pinpoint a difference between the two. No matter how I think about it, either sentence works as well as the other. I can't think of a situation where one works better. Sorry!
