"You have plans with your friends later"
This is what I read on television drama with substitles on it. My question is why "plans" I thought after you there's no "s"

Anyone willing to explain this to me.. ;)

It is assumed that they intended to do more than one thing with their friends later, thus the “s”. You would say this even if they’re only doing one thing.
