At the moment you have to remember a code = Present tense (something that is happening now)
In the future you won't = Future tense (something that has not happened yet but will happen in the future).

@SimmyRx sorry but I'm asking about the two whole sentences - So it's not about recognising the tenses

@plik Oh sorry, I read it wrong!
They mean the same thing. "Whereas" and "although" are both used to join together two points in a sentence which are different.

@SimmyRx it's alright. My English teacher implies that only the one with "whereas" is correct and honestly I'm a Little confused why only this

@plik Honestly, if someone said either of those sentences to me, I would think both sound natural. "Whereas" sounds more correct by the book, but "although" still sounds correct in every day conversation.
I think sometimes learning a language by the book teaches us different things to speaking a language in real life.
