For the pronunciation of a rolled r: Is it bad that my tongue is not near my front teeth at all when I do it? I have been naturally putting my tongue totally on the side and didn't think about it or know till now that it's wrong. In my first río it's side, and in my second it's front.

well, I suggest you to imitate a native speaker. don´t pay attention to those "rules". imitation is easier. when I speak Englis I just imitate the sonds and I have a frend from USA that had the same problem. I suggest him to imitate me and his pronunciation improve a lot. your pronunciation is very good.

"El rebaño de ovejas paso cerca del río" I think you sound fine, but you should practice a little bit more for have a perfect pronunciation of the "r" sound, I also have problems with the "r" pronunciation in English, it's very different from the Spanish "r" good luck ;)
