Qual é a diferença entre survive e endure ?Podes indicar apenas respostas exemplo.

According to Oxford dictionary,

One of the meaning of "survive" is:to continue to live or exist

One of the meaning of "endure" is:(formal) to continue to exist for a long time

They seem to have the same meaning ,to pick out these meaning from the dictionary.
Only the difference between them is if one is formal or not?and also "endure" is more focused on that it does "for a long time" than "survive"?

survive is meaning to get through a situation and continue to life

endure means to continue to go through a situation for a long time

eg.

He survived his camping trip

The team endured the weather

I have survived all my exams

I am enduring my exams.

I would say endure would be used in present tense more often whereas survive would commonly be in the past. Hope this makes sense

@hhhhqqqq: He survived through world war II. (he didn't die during the war)

That building endured the test of time. (the building is still up despite how old it is)

@isabelbittles: thank you for a reply!I see...endure is more focus on "go through" and imply that you endured one tough situation but maybe another tough situation will come?
while survive has a meaning of "get through" or "go through" but more focuses on the result of "get through":continue to life than "get through"?Its like that?
