How are lesbian women viewed in Japan? There seems to be more recognition of gay men and "Onee". I haven't heard anything about lesbian women outside of Shinjuku 2-Chome, though? Please share your opinions! Thank you for reading this.

It's a good point. I've never heard of おニイ系タレントalthough there is おネエ系タレント. I know it was a lesbian wedding ceremony at Tokyo Disney Land by famous ppl 2 years ago though. There is new movement : new regulation in Shibuya and a temple in Kyoto to help LGBT marriage. Gay parade is held in Tokyo as well. The circumstance for LGBT seems improved little by little but most of Japanese still tend to tease them or don't try to understand the way of thinking correctly. That's why LGBT ppl seems still struggling.
