Is this correct?

We needed a way to read and add news from the School's Website that previously was updated by changing manually html source.
I was charged of the creation of an area for the webmaster in which he could add news to a database that would be simultaneously accessed by the website and by the application.
The first improvement that i did was the creation of a new table on the database.
Then i started writing two different scripts:
The first one converted the news into json format which was the most simple and efficient way to share data with an android app.
The second one was the actual user interface that allowed the administrator to add, edit and delete news.

Made some minor edits  . . .

I was charged 'with' the creation of an area for the webmaster 'where' he could add news to a database that would be simultaneously accessed by the website and by the application.

The first improvement that i did was 'to create' a new table on the database.
