3,4, and 5 are normal. Unless your speaking very quickly, say "But I couldn't reach you/but I couldn't get through" with "I".
1 and 2 are poetic and would sound really strange in a normal conversation, and definitely from a foreigner.

3 and 5 would be fine in a formal email. Just use "I". I think 4 sounds like you're a little annoyed, and it's kind of informal
