can you explain me the use of "that"? I don't know when I should use it.
ex:
*the boy that is near you is my brother - it's correct?
*I think that today is a beautiful day - it's wrong?

"That" is used to identify a thing observed by the speaker, or to identify something previously mentioned.
But in your sentence "I think that today is a beautiful day"
"That" in that sentence is used as a conjunction. The speaker introduces a subordinate clause expressing a statement.
Sometimes it's just too much in a sentence to add "that" as a conjunction.
But, "She said that she was hungry." Works

"That is his house." Referring to the house that may be in a picture, or far away from you.
"That is a good plan"
Responding to someone who already mentioned a "plan".
