can someone please explain how to use "de"? I see it alot before verbs,what is the meaning of it?

in some sentences "de" is like "to" in english
for example
I only have desires to eat
yo solo tengo deseos de comer

@ibrahim-96 It doesn't mean "to".
She translated bad her sentence. It should be "I only have desires of eating"
And it also means "from".
Yo soy de España
-> I am from Spain
This is not the way of doing it
-> Esta no es la manera de hacerlo

thanks alot,I knew before from reading that "de" comes with origin like what you said,but the thing that mostly confuse me is when it is before verbs and when to use it before verbs
