Orienteering is a sport in which you have to navigate round some checkpoints in a forest using a compass and a very detailed map. This sport (1) ... in Sweden many years ago and since then it (2) ... in popularity greatly. The checkpoints are very well hidden and they are very difficult to find. The best orienteers must be very fit, read maps well and make quick accurate decisions.
