They really aren't the same. Glamorous is associated with grand and elaborate, really just glitzy things. "Hollywood stars live in glamorous houses." Gorgeous is closer to beautiful than anything else, you'd describe extremely pretty things as gorgeous. "His voice was absolutely divine -just gorgeous."
