Pergunta sobre Inglês (EUA)

Do native speakers use this kind of question expression?
I think I've seen it in movies but not sure if I get the meaning right.

What takes you so long?
→What is it that takes you so long?
What do you like about me?
→What is it that you like about me?
Why do you look so tired?
→Why is it that you look so tired?
How do you know about this?
→How is it that you know about this?
(Does "how is it...." mean why or how?)
When did you last night?
→When was it that you slept last night?
etc.
