You can be a member of an organization, but not a limb.
A limb stand for "A piece" or "A part", like a branch is a limb of a tree.

Member = socio, diputado, miembro, extremidad
limb = extremidad, rama, miembro

@TaniaVM Limb is arms and legs, or a large tree branch.
Member is not limb, but it can be a part of a mechanical object in that sense.
Member is more a person who is a part of a group.
