Just my opinion, but I feel economically speaking, African Americans have it way worse. They are more likely to experience poverty.
In certain states, especially in smaller towns, Asians have a bit more political discrimination.

This is just my opinion, personally I think it's definitely Asians LOL cause I mean both have issues here including Hispanics too. But Asians have it a bit harder more specifically in rural areas because most people experience racial discrimination more when they are a minority in the area (which has happened to me). People these days aren't as bad but sometimes you can meet prejudice people. And I think Asian discrimination isn't bad in cities since people may be more used to seeing them there than in more rural areas where Asians are a lot harder to find. So in that case some people may be a bit prejudice or just surprised in general.

There may be some variation from region to region, small town vs large city, but on the whole, Black people, for sure. I have never had to be fearful of a police encounter, I have never had to worry about calling the police, and I have never been taught from a young age that I need to carry my ID around with me everywhere.
But that being said, I don't think that suffering is a competition, and I think that comparison of what different people experience can often lead to resentment and delay being able to collectively support each other and move forward.

I agree with @am---, but also I need to correct a few things:
"ethnic group" is not the same thing as "race". Asian and African are descriptions of race, but not ethnicity. Ethnicity describes specific peoples or cultures within a race or multiple races. Han Chinese and Tibetans, for example, are separate ethnic groups, even though both could be described as Asian.
I think it's important to not rank things on an "Oppression Olympics" basis, while acknowledging that, Black people in America and elsewhere face the most regular discrimination, poverty, police violence and incarceration, and hate crimes in the most situations. Everyone deserves their voices to be heard on their experiences regardless of what we assume about their race and experience, and we should listen to what they have to say. Even if it criticizes us in things we didn't intend to do to anyone. There is no point in dividing groups further by debating who has it worse when both deserve a lot better
Asian Americans, especially Chinese, deserve to have a voice as a US minority group on their experiences with discrimination and violence, as well as the stereotypes surrounding Asians be dispelled
I think light-skinned Asians, as well as Jewish people and white-hispanic (or white passing) Americans, deal with an admittedly complex and grey form of racism in the US. They inherit some white privilege, especially in terms of class or wealth, but still face negative to "positive" stereotypes and assumptions from their race by other groups. But darker-skinned groups are far more often seen as poorer or lower class citizens, and are more often targeted by police or hate groups, and are more unlikely to be evaluated by their own merits.
I think other factors have to be considered too, such as combined with issues of sexism, homophobia, transphobia, religious discrimination, class, and where you live in general. These all can cause more discrimination onto people and people groups

Asians and Americans with Asian heritage have faced brutal oppression at many points in American history, but those tend to flare up and die down. African Americans have been systemically oppressed since before the nation existed, and every change to bring them closer to equality has come with tremendous bloodshed. I wouldn’t say it’s a contest, both groups face significant prejudice even today, but Black Americans as a general rule have it much, much worse.

In my opinion you shouldn’t really compare the 2 since both have their own struggles and comparing can cause more strain between the communities. Im African American and live in a African American-Hispanic neighborhood so I personally don’t experience much racism
