"Diego" would also be Nominativ. It's similar to "sein" where both components are also Nominativ.
- Er ist Lehrer.
Both "er" and "Lehrer" are Nominativ.

@Ema_non so sentences can have multiple Nominativ? and is it only applicable for nominativ? or there can be more than one dativ, akkusativ and genitiv in a sentence?

@kundudeborshi89 Yes, it depends on the verb. Very few verbs like sein, werden or heißen are used with a second Nominativ.
For Akkusativ we could have a sentence like this:
- Er nennt mich (Akk) Diego (Akk).
This also depends on the verb.
For Dativ and Genitiv it doesn't work the same way, but in general there can be multiple instances of cases within one sentence. Here is a simple example with a breakdown:
- Die Mutter meines Freundes besucht jeden Dienstag zur Mittagszeit das Krankenhaus der Stadt.
die Mutter -> Nominativ
meines Freundes -> Genitiv
jeden Dienstag -> Akkusativ
zur Mittagszeit -> Dativ
das Krankenhaus -> Akkusativ
der Stadt -> Genitiv
