We also successfully detected three antifungal metabolites and two antibacterial metabolites in the culture supernatant by using mass spectrometry. With that we can demonstrate that these corresponding gene clusters in strain LM2303 are functional. While other metabolites that were not detected may need to change the culture condition or assay other methods.
Also props to using such diverse vocabulary! I don't know what this is for, but it sounds cool!

For other undetected metabolites the culture conditions or assay method may have to be changed.
I changed it a bit to avoid the usage of "we". In scientific articles you should avoid the usage of first and second person and stick to passive writing. At least that is how I was taught. Apart from that it was very well written and easy to understand. 😉

@gostraight Data is plural for datum but I generally see "data was generated" so I'm not sure (I guess data is used as a collective entity). Was would sound better to me but I think both would be correct.
