If you remodel something, you are changing the shape or the style of it.

But if you are fixing something – if something is a fixer-upper – then you are going to have to do all kinds of repairs that have nothing to do with the appearance. You’re trying to make something functional, usable again – and this isn’t always related to how it looks.

@isthmus_x There’s a sentence in this article “Unless you’re buying a fixer …” Correct me if I’m wrong it means > “ you’re buying a house/flat that needs fixing
