@QLiu Yes you are correct on that^^ "I'm often awake in the middle of the night" wouldn't convey that you "Woke up" "I often wake up in the middle of the night" conveys that you do "wake up" (action)

@PeachyHope thank you so much!
actually i don't still get it why "get" is awkward,,:(
i've been taught that "get" indicates the moment of the change of the state.(in this case, asleep->awake).
for example,
i'm mad - the present state.
i got mad - more emphasis on the moment when i got mad.
no clue why "i often get awake" is awkward... help me with this please!

Yup! No problem ^^
"Get" wouldn't be appropriate with how you stated your words.
For example:
"I often get awoken in the middle of the night" that would sound better(past tense)
Its really all about how you phrase your words to make it sound correct in that situation. (I know gets confusing at times)
cause "get" is more of an action so saying you "get awake" wouldn't sound right cause "awake" is already an action on its own.
So saying you "got awoken" would be correct cause you need an action to counterpart "awoken" in THIS situation.
Sorry if this sounds confusing!
