@iluvkandu7 Thank you for your reply. I’m asking if it’s necessary to wear a bow tie and a cummerbund when men wear a tux. So your answer is “yes, it’s mostly done”, right?

@studiousme yes, I have always see them worn together at weddings, and in certain circumstances even women might wear them and they might be worn without a tuxedo. My old highschool concert band had a uniform that required dress shirts and dress pants with a cummerbund and bow tie ahaha. As a female floutist I hated it. 😅

@studiousme I wouldn't call them common outside of very formal circumstances, such as weddings, and only the wedding party or just the groom would typically wear one. You might see them in showy things though, like musicians on stage. But it's not something you see every day.
