@zumhassd the 1st sentence is an incomplete sentence. It did not say what you will be doing from the office. the 2nd one is more sensible. But, if the 1st sentence said I left the office, the meaning of the 2 sentences will be the same meaning. the 1st sentence will only sound more casual.
However, it is confusing with homework which is for school and you are in the office. homework should be work only.
