"Our manager bought a TV so that we can watch TV during the break" is more natural and correct. "During" suggests a time when you are doing an activity, such as watching TV.
"She will be writing the essay during lunch because she did not finish it last night."
It is more common to see "take a break" as a phrase, but that refers to the act of resting. This would not work for your sentence, though.
