No, not at all.
In some parts of the American south west, every single person you meet will call you buddy, and you will never feel more accepted in your entire life.
If someone says it sarcastically – well of course, that’s not good. But don’t go around expecting that it’s a bad thing just because somebody said it was bad once or twice.
