@thelearner123 The term is understandable, and it brings your intentions across well, it just sounds a bit strange.
You can maybe opt for something like "to clarify".

You could also say "To give you a betyer understanding of what I will be doing..."
Yours works just as well though, I just thought I could give you another option. :)
