@sumire1223 3と4は自然だと思います。ところで「I was putting makeup on in my room」と「I was in bed with my son」の言い方も大丈夫です。
5と6は小さい文法の間違いがあります。「dinner of my mother's cooking」は誤文で、日本語にしたら「晩飯の母の料理」という感じです。「I was having my mother's cooking for dinner.」あるいは「I was having my mom's cooking for dinner.」が正しいです。「It tasted good.」は全然大丈夫ですけど、「It was good.」（つまり、「よかった」ということ）も自然な言い方です。
そして、「I was studying the past simple of English」は文法的に大丈夫ですけど、僕にとって「I was studying the past simple tense of English.」の方がもっと自然だと思います。「simple past tense」か「past simple form」もできます。

All the phrases are grammatically correct! Except for number 4, which sounds abit strange to me.
You can say
"At 7.45 yesterday evening, I was having my mother's home cooked meals for dinner."
