I feel like that like is better than as. If I want to use "as", "The robot runs such as a real dog." feels good for me... But i dunno why.

Both “like” and “as” are used to make similes which are essentially metaphors. You compare one thing to another thing fo show similarity. I agree “like” sounds better in this case. They have the same meaning but use “like”
I think the “such as” sounds a bit awkward so maybe you can say “the robot runs as if it’s a real dog”

@Zacharias00 Thank you for your quick reply. I understand your explain "as if" or "as though". Could you answer me a little bit more about my question? "The robot runs as a real dog." is correct in the English test? Is it correct in the test if they put the word "as" in the blank "The robot runs ( ) a real dog."?

@sakizaki I believe it would be correct yes. “Like” and “as” can be interchangeable to form similes. Of course one may sound better but technically they are both correct

@sakizaki They are the same. The dictionary shouldn’t say they are different
