@JuanFaguirre10 Such and so often have the same meaning. The core difference is that “such” is what’s called a determiner; “so” is an adverb and thus, they’ll be used in different scenarios.
If we’re getting a little more ‘technical’ with it:
such + noun and so + adjective/adverb:
He is such a great guy.
Not: He is so a great guy.
That was so nice. (So + adjective)
Not: That was such nice.
He handled that so calmly. (So + adverb)
Not: He handled that such calmly.
So can also be used to emphasise certain things, unlike such. A couple examples:
That took so much of my time.
Not: That took such much of my time.
He made so few mistakes.
Not: He made such few mistakes.
There’s also scenarios where there’s an adjective before a noun, in which case we’ll use “such” not “so”, for example:
Those are such cool shoes.
Not: Those are so cool shoes.
Here the emphasis lies on the shoes, not the word “cool”.
