@sofiaa_ - using ‘will’ is for future, and more definite; ‘am going to’ usually is what you are planning or thinking about. But often they can mean almost the same
I am going to see the doctor tomorrow, if he is free
I will see the doctor tomorrow, I have an appointment
I am going to get a job when I finish school = I will get a job when I finish school
You will be late = you are going to be late
Sometimes only one will work:
The boss will see you now
Spero che aiuti 😀
