How would you say that you like someone in a non-romantic way?「 いいやつです」maybe, but is there another common way?

We don't say いいやつです for introducing our different gender friends.
If you are a male, you can say it about same gender friends, it doesn't sound rude, but still it's really casually. Better to avoid it officially.
やつ is not for explaining about women/girls.
I suggest いいお友だちです or いい人です to explain.
Mostly Japanese females hardly use やつ
If they said, that must have been too casual conversations, and they would to be so rough.
