First of all, you should know that traditions in Ukraine can be broadly divided into two categories. The first one includes customs related to the main events of family life. Ukrainians have their specific traditional way to celebrate weddings and birthdays. Another part of Ukrainian customs and traditions is connected with the seasons of the year and harvesting. Actually, traditions of celebrating Christian holidays have pagan roots. For example, Christmas in ancient times was a holiday of the winter solstice. It's important to mention that many Ukrainian folk songs and national dishes are related to a particular holiday.

This is really good, and sounds very native. I could only find a few things I would change:
1. Possibly change ‘events’ to ‘aspects’.
2. ‘way’ should be ‘ways’.
3. You don’t need ‘of the year’ after ‘seasons’, people automatically understand and it makes it sound less wordy.
4. If you want you can add ‘finally’ before ‘it’s important to mention...’ (it sounds perfectly fine without, however adding it gives it a good finish).
