I think the use of “lift” and “elevate” here are a little weird
I think “advance” is a better choice
This is one of the most effective ways to advance our proficiency in the language to the next level

“Promote” would be for raising a person’s rank/position (like a job) or it could mean advertising

they’re both okay; i’d say “raise” is the most natural when talking about levels. “promote” however doesn’t work at all.

@kyojin69 well yes but those are like sayings in a sense (like lifting —> stealing, to pay off, etc)
When talking about language levels, elevating or lifting it to the next level is quite weird to say
