Fast: most common word to mean rápido
He’s a very fast runner.
Quick: same meaning, less common; we also use it to mean you need to do something immediately.
Quick! I want to show you this before it disappears!
He’s a very quick runner.
Rapid: a fancier way of saying fast/quick. We don’t usually use this word in normal conversation.
The swimmer used rapid movements to advance ahead of his competitors.
All of these events happened in rapid succession.
Speed: velocidad
What speed were you driving at?
Speedy: a casual way to say someone is fast/quick
That’s a speedy runner.
Quickly: rápidamente (sometimes we just say “quick,” but we should say “quickly” for this.) We also use it when we ask for a favor to soften it by implying it won’t take very much time - it will be over quickly.
Could you quickly go to the store for me?
I need to finish this quickly. I need to finish this quick. (“Quickly” is better)
Fast can mean rápidamente too.
You are driving really fast.
Rapidly: a more formal way to say “quickly.”
Things are rapidly getting out of control (I would usually say “quickly” here)

@Kellyne then, You are driving really fast/quickly/quick/rapidly for any word used as an adverb are the same to use?
- Inglês (EUA)
Basically yes. You might hear someone say “quick” as an adverb, but it’s better not to. “Rapidly” is pretty formal and unusual for normal conversations. For driving, people almost always say “fast” instead of quickly, but both are correct. For other verbs, both “fast” and “quickly” are common as far as I can think of.

@Kellyne then, can I use with any phrase fast and quick, or quickly, or rapidly as adverbs? either driving or any word, sentence, or text?
- Inglês (EUA)
You can almost always say “fast.”
I wouldn’t use “quick” as an adverb, even though it’s possible.
“Quickly” is usually fine. It’s almost as common as “fast” (“fast” is still more common, though)
“Rapidly” is really formal, so I wouldn’t use it unless you’re writing an essay or a speech.
