In America, it's not common. I never say whom, ever.

Yes, they do and they use it incorrectly, which gets on my last good nerve! These are the same people who pronounce the letter, t, in the word often, and use reflexive pronouns as subjects of their sentences. (Tammie and myself are praying for you.) Why is the letter, e, in your spelling of English lower case? You know better! (The first person who responded)

Yes the word is commonly used, but many people do not know how to use it:)

Japanese high school students study about "whom" for exams, but I was a little surprised to know that it is not often used in everyday conversation.
