@ludber3103 "I've been overweight my entire life" implies that you're still overweight.
"I was overweight my entire life" doesn't imply that. You could or could not be still overweight to this day. Do you understand?

i was overweight- thats past simple tense
i have been overweight- present perfect tense
different english tenses, both sounds correct and could be used i think :)

the first one means that you are still overweight but the second one means that you were overweight and now you're not
