@diegojjfl choir is a group of people who sings song but a chorus is a section of the song

A choir is a group of singers. A chorus is the parts of a song a choir sings, or the part of a song that repeats (as opposed to a verse) The problem is that Spanish uses the word "coro" to indicate both things.
