*Scenario is at a hotel*
“All of our rooms are furnished, and we have supplied the room with two towels but if you need more you may call us and we can provide more. Breakfast is served at 8am”
To furnish something means to place furniture like a bed and a couch in a room.
Serve is used to describe the act of doing something for someone else.
To serve can also be described as helping someone by giving them something.
“This notice has been served.”
“Please serve this to table 5” said the manager to the employee.
Supply means to make something needed or wanted available to someone.
“the drought has limited our water supply”
“i will supply you with all the equipment you need”
Provide is very similar to supply.
“we provide all the essentials”

They essentially mean the same thing, except one sounds better in a business setting, for example, if you just purchased a couch, then the seller would most likely say “we will furnish and provide you with everything you need...”, whereas in a more normal conversation, you would say “we need to serve and supply that table over there”, although I have never heard those sentences coming out of someone’s mouth, they do still sound more or less correct.

@saaaally I only use the word furnish if I am talking about a room that has furniture in it. But that isn’t a common topic.
MOST Americans don’t use these words “provide, supply, and serve” unless you are trying to show you have a large vocabulary. Most Americans just use the verb “give” . (This is an exception to the scenario I said about “water supply”. In this scenario “water supply” is a noun similar to “water amount”)

Japanese schools don't teach me that kind of thing, so it was very helpful.
