Is it possible to be or become a person who doesn't have any insecurities? What do you think about it?
I mean, things such as not being prepared for all kinds of situations in life.
For example, I feel insecure because I'm still not fluent in English enough. This is a big deal for me.
I'm asking this question because I've met people who are happy just as they are.
What is surprising to me, they don't try to avoid situations where they are apparently lacking the necessary skills.
Yeah, as they have told themselves, the key to become "Fearless" is just doing what you want and not care what others think.
Nevertheless, there is a thing such as personal responsibility for what you are doing, right?
Is it about being balanced?
Or is it about really not caring what others think and being you your only judge and ignoring what others might think or say? 😂

Personally I just give my best shot at everything, and I try to make sure I have all my bases covered, but I'm not afraid to make mistakes. After all, it's how we learn.
And I don't let myself get sucked into everyone else's expectations unless they mean well for me and care for me.
For example, I don't care what other people say about my clothes. Yes, it might not be what's trendy or cool, but I like my clothes and I'm perfectly fine with them as long as I'm not breaking any rules.
Of course, we can't be prepared for every situation that we'll come across. Honestly, life would be rather boring without challenges and surprises. The thing is to stay composed and use your strengths. There's no shame in failing if you know deep down in your heart that you gave it your maximum effort and that there was nothing else you could've done. But there's always the next day.

@DJ_Saidez Thank you! That's a good way to go about life, I think.
May I clarify?
What does ''I have all my bases covered" mean?

I don't think it's possible, but I don't think that's a bad thing. I don't really like those "fearless" people, I think they usually have big egos, think that they are perfect, and can never admit when they have done something wrong or when they are bad at something. Really obnoxious people to be honest..

@vz9002 I might be interpreting it wrong, but it seems to me that that's a mix of fearlessness and arrogance
Then again I might have described something completely different

By the way, .. as time goes by, many of our mistakes become just irrelevant and don't matter. Altumately what matters is the experience and what we have learned :)

I think the kind of people who worry about being insecure are unfortunately the kind of people who will struggle with those insecurities and with self-esteem throughout their lives. These people tend to be more introspective and thoughtful, and many of their issues come from comparing themselves to others constantly to seek validation. I think those people who give advice to "just be fearless" come from a different psychological starting point, and likely themselves don't realize that some individuals have fundamentally different characters from one another. I think people should amplify their strong suits and minimize their weaknesses, but not try to be something they aren't and can't be.
