An issue you feel compelled to address with other people. Or a personal motive relating to something. It's usually used in a negative context.

@emman99999 Yes, it means having a personal objective or interest in something, usually an extra motivation.
"Of course, Dave has his axe to grind."
"The way he was talking I guessed he had some kind of axe to grind."
"They all have their own axe to grind."

@emman99999 Not necessarily an argument.
It just an observation about what they are doing, and they have a personal motive.
It could be many situations.

@Igirisujin if I donât agree with someone in what he has said or done and I tell him â I has an axe to grind with you â whatâs the exact meaning here ?

@emman99999 Usually, we'd say "I have a bone to pick with you."
But...
"I have an axe to grind with you."
... would be like unfinished business. There is something I'm not happy about.
(That is more often the negative: "I have no axe to grind ...")
