What do you think of this video? The clip is aired in a news show for children.

I am feeling how bad this video is.
But I’m struggling to describe my feeling logically.
I found that some Japanese think what makes this animation being racist and should be criticised.
Could you help me how to verbalise reasons why this video is drawn wrongly.
I am trying to choose my words but I apologise if this post makes you upset.
Just I want to deeply understand this matter since this isn’t discussed in public in Japanese society (sadly...).

The way that African Americans are visually depicted appears aggressive and threatening. African Americans are not aggressive or threatening in any way. If the video showed them to look in the way a normal person looks when they protest, then there wouldn’t be a problem.

@tommama I agree! I’m half black and this video made me slightly uncomfortable. I appreciate the will to reach out to English speakers about the topic!

I agree with @Cakiepop. Also I feel like it doesn't even explain it super accurately. They didn't really touch on the police brutality and stuff, which is the main reason for the protests.
