He's my company = He is my guest
He is in my company = He works for the same employer as me OR He is currently with me.

Technically the sentence "He's my company." doesn't make sense. You don't own the person 😂

@tjstkdn The side conversation might not have anything to do with your question. Is your scenario about a business or about being with someone? "Company" has two meanings.
I am IN THE COMPANY of like-minded people at a political meeting.
The meeting takes place at my friend's house. When we are there we are his COMPANY.
He might say Ï'm having COMPANY over.

Then there is COMPANY as a synonym for BUSINESS.
In this case a person who is the sole owner and employee of a business might say "I'm the whole COMPANY".

company 1= the state of being with someone avoid being alone. a cat can be your company therefore your companion.
company 2= a business, a corporation. a public or private entity.
company 1 is rare in a popular environment. you may hear it in a more sophisticated one, because is kinda old way to speak. in your question, if you need to go to a party with someone to be able to go inside. the person in the door ask you. did you come alone? No. he is my company.
