Um pouco artificial
A couple of pointers:
Be aware: 'Tramp' is not a polite term, it is used to describe people who are dirty, or immoral.
Instead of saying 'wolfing down the food' you would write 'wolf down the food'
In the UK we say mum - mom is the American spelling.
When speaking to someone we would not really say 'for the season' it is more natural to refer to 'this time of year'
'Such a plight' is an educated way of speaking - not how you would address a Tramp.
To make your sentence sound more natural you could say:
'Seeing the tramp wolf down the food, Issac's mum asked him how he got himself into this position at this time of year'

Thanks for the thorough explanation. these are truly helpful! and I need to say sorry about the typo ''season '' which should be REASON.
''Seeing the tramp wolf down the food, Isaac's mom asked him for the Reason how he was in such a position.

Do you think reason and how match better than REASON and WHY ?
