Qual é a diferença entre Have you opened your post yet ? e Have you opened your post already ? e I used to think 'yet' was only to be used in negative sentences, but it's not like that apparently. So, what is the difference between 'yet' and 'already' here ? The translation of these two sentences is the same. ?Podes indicar apenas respostas exemplo.

In this context, 'yet' implies that the person asking thinks they haven't opened it, or that it's being opened late. Whereas 'already' implies that the person asking thinks they have opened it, or that it's been opened early.
