To “get the most of” would be referring to numbers or a quantity of something.
Example: How many points do you think you will score in the basketball game?
I don’t know. But I want to get the most!
However, if you change that to say “I want to get the most out of it” it would be the same as “I want to get the best out of it. But, you switch these words up depending on the context and what would sound more natural.
Example: Why do you listen so much in class?
I want to get the most out of the lesson.
Why do you still have that toy?
I want to get the best out of it. I can only have it for so long. Might as well enjoy it while I can.

@Alyssa_Fowler so i cant use "get the most of xx" when i want to talk about getting the best result/outcome out of something?
- Inglês (EUA)
As long as you add the “out of” and the “something” (a noun) to the end, it will be correct.
More examples:
I want to get the most out of my time here.
I want to get the most out of the product.
Basically if you want to use “to get the most of” you have to use it in this way because we have to understand what you are getting the most out of.
But the phrase “make the most of” is different. If you are making the most of something it means you are trying to make the best out of your situation. You are seeking the best results out of your current scenario.
