It’s definitely going to sound strange if you try to imitate a regional accent like Scouse (Liverpool) or Brummy (Birmingham). Many people in and around London talk with an accent that is quite close to RP. If you aim for RP I’m sure you will still have some Spanish sounds in your accent, and I really don’t think it’ll sound “too posh”. If you’re really determined to sound less posh, most people in London sound closer to Cockney than RP, in my opinion.
