Ultimately is a very formal word, meaning "when everything is considered", so maybe a politician might say:
"Ultimately, we should build the road."
Here are some other examples:
A judge might say
"The father is ultimately responsible."
A builder might say:
"Ultimately, the building collapsed due to the hole."
